Farewell Shiela

"Way back Wednesday"

Farewell send off for our Drafting Manager Shiela who has emigrated to LA USA. Shiela was an inspiration not just to her piers but to young men and women everywhere on building a successful career in construction, in particular the steel industry.

Shiela started her career as a nurse, but that all changed when the opportunity arose for Shiela to join our team many years ago and since then Shiela has flourished in our industry and rose to every challenge. We put Shiela through the TDS academy training as a drafter, very quickly we realised as did the training academy just how bright and dedicated Shiela was. Sheila went on to be our best drafter despite still being so young, and I would not hesitate to say anyone would be hard pressed to find a better drafter, as her standards are not confined to the size of our business, she has a true talent.

Next step we put Shiela through her Foundation Degree in Civil and Environmental Engineering. From there Shiela went on to manage the drafting department and the design coordination with our design engineer contractors.

Shiela did her time not only in the comfortable office environment, but she also relished her time in the hustle and bustle of our busy production workshop in Park Royal as well as attending sites across London.

Shiela was a true asset to the company and a inspiration to anyone prepared to work hard and love their job. Shiela is very humble and has always been grateful for the opportunities, but opportunities only get you so far, Shiela made gold from those opportunities and we wish her every success in LA, we are all very jealous of where her new home is, but communication channels will remain open and Shiela will always be a part of the ASME family.

Best of Luck Shiela, we know you will do amazing things across that pond “ #construction #team #engineering
